1998 Bluebird GMC 6.0 gasser

Well, I went and bought one. Now I'm getting the seats out. I'll post pictures when I figure out how.

congrates
make a free photo bucket account

then after you upload pictures you can "hover" over the gear on the picture and a menu drops down

click on the img/url link and then paste it in your text box

Does that make since?

I started taking the seats out. With a four pound sledge and a cold chisel.

Here's our '97

Great platform, although I need to do a bit of work on the drivetrain. Mine's 4x4 and geared a bit lower than necessary for my use.

Assuming you mean Pirate 4x4, that would be pretty interesting, I've never posted there to the best of my knowledge. I wonder if someone saw us out and about.

I'd love to see what your plans are for the bus and how work is progressing. Here's a quick shot of my most recent plans, although there are some impending modifications to entry/dinette area:

EDIT: Lordy that image was huge, hopefully this is better.

are there more pics of this bus? i am drooling all over the place. i want to turn my 1999 international 3800 at545 7.3 into one of those. where do i find the parts for the transfer? i really like the location of the rear tires. not sure why they put so much bus behind the rear tires. on reason i can think of is that i would be at the back of the bus waiting for the next bump in the road cause you know the drivers do not slow down for them.oh the memories.

1998 - 6.0 gasser. Is this a tall-deck 366 or the 6.0 Vortec? I didn't know either were in production in 1998...

if i remember right the tall deck was still around into the early 00's.

the vortec 6.0 was made alongside it..

the vortec 6.0 was a small block engine, the tall deck 366 was a big block engine.

your ewngine code will tell you for sure what you have.. but I dont believe they used the small block 6.0 in the medium duty chassis.. it was used in the pickup truck and van chassis..

AAA Bus sales in Phoenix has a 4x4 bus for parts if you want the transfer case and axle. I would give them a call. I doubt it will last long on their lot.
