LOL ... at the time you got the dado set you just did not know you needed it for your bus buildout!

Loving it! Cool to find a Skoolie so close to home (I live about 20 k from the dealer that screwd you). I'll definitely be watching this one.
I notice you have blue plates on it. Is it already registered as a motorhome?
My questions for you mostly involve the import process. Did you have an issue getting insurance? Also did you have any issues with registering it with a G license, or do you already have a different class driver's license? How much work was actually involved to get it to meet the Canadian Import standards?

I also have a FS tools dado set. I never used it either. But you know you need your crosscut dado and your ripping dado

Interior framing is in.
Ive been having some engine trouble. Thanks to a friend's access to CAT ET I was able to do a cylinder cut out test and find a bad injector and injection actuation pressure control valve as well. Parts are coming in tomorrow and hopefully I'll have them installed by Friday

Success! The engine just runs beautifully no misfire at all. @ cruisethe only real noise you can hear is the wind of the turbo and a smooth mechanical hum
I very carefully cleaned the connector on the IAPCV with contact cleaner as I still could not find the right wrench to remove it.
I took it for an 85km shakedown Cruise for my friends farm that it was stranded at to the truck yard where I'm leaving the bus while I work on it.
Using my friend's laptop with cat ET on it I was able to run the cylinder cutout test again cylinder number 3 which was the one with the bad injector now with the new injector works perfectly in fact cutting it out results in the highest increase in fuel load of all the cylinders. Additionally the 42 - 11 code that I saw which suggested a faulty is a PCV has now disappeared after starting engine for a little bit and driving it the code did not come back so I think it really was just a bad connection.
now it's time to do some more serious preventive maintenance for a leave for burning man with a bus in a month.

I would allow for some ventilation on the mattress from the platform it sits on or you will have a big wet sponge at times.
Just a thought because your pic didn't show just the framing.

I'm curious as to why I've never seen anyone reuse a standard steel bed frame in their bus instead of building one out of wood. They can be had for free, are about as thin and strong as can be, and have sprung suspension and excellent ventilation, and they could easily be hinged to open upwards. I'm planning on doing this in my bus, but whenever I plan on doing something nobody else does, it seems wise to ask about it.

Not sure either really on your suggestion. Cuts down on the critters living in the mattress, unwanted ones that is.
Go for it!

I put a memory foam mattress directly on the plywood platform in my travel trailer. About a year later I had cause to move the mattress. The underside was DISCUSTING!!!!
I don't own that mattress anymore.,.....
New mattress is on a slatted base and after 3+ years it is doing fine.
