Do you use the Small Spaces formula or the Power Blend for extreme odors?
Did you use the Litter Selector on the website?

And if you have kittens, how do they like it?

Sorry, couldn't resist.

Here is a Firefox add-on that will download videos and save them to a format that can be watched offline (mp4, etc). My download speed (vis-a-vis video watching) bounces back and forth between OK and frustrating.

Great thread and great build so far TC.

Actually, that's a darn good question! While I do have a fierce little 9lb hunting cat, she has her own door to go outside, so I don't bother with litter anymore. I had to snitch these from my Mom, who until a couple of months ago had 3 cats (2 of which just died of old age). This was the brand she recommended.

Personally, I prefer Fresh Step Natural Scoop. They used to have it with cedar pellets, but I guess pine is just as good.

Just remember to cover what you did after you are done. And wash your hands! Don't want Kitty litter all over the place....

Re: 2012... The Year of Renewal

Since Mom came over and helped me move the generator out of the bus, I was finally able to finish insulating the floor.

I'm particularly happy with how well this piece around the stairwell worked. It was a single piece of plywood that I measured and cut to fit the space. The other side of the aisle was filled in with the scraps left from this cut. Not as pretty, but works just as well... and that whole section of floor will be covered by cabinets anyway!

I also made a video describing how to create a ceiling template... but didn't hit the "record" button hard enough the first time! Doh! I'll edit what I reshot and post it later.

I am sure I am missing something obvious, but how do you get the bucket out of your toilet?

Good question... The whole front of the unit (seat area) lifts up out of the way. Just swap out the buckets, then drop the seat back over it and be on your way.
