Re: 84 Thomas - The Yankeflyer

Just before this web site went down, I had posted that the place next door to me is for sale. A couple of things compelled me to present that information to this august body of school bus conversion enthusiasts.

First and foremost, it is simply put, for sale. And since it is zoned commercial and the former home of the city's ambulance service and fire Department, this former high-end residents has many possibilities. I'll post the pictures again, in hopes that I can still influence who purchases this property next door to me and hopefully they'll have some interest in school bus conversion's and the arts.

Dr. Lulu posted her pictures of her trip into the Rockies with her girlfriends. I took a look around her locations on google earth and was very impressed with the destinations and distance traveled. I spent most of my adult life in and about the Rocky Mountains a specially the northern Rockies. And then there was a picture of the girlfriends on the trip and I thought yup that's who I want as my neighbors.

But the web site went down, my post disappeared and a little voice that has seemed to have settled in to this old man's head -- said -- careful what you wish for.

Wise counsel is so hard to come by these days, though skoolies by virtue of their skill set, for the most part seemed to have retained much of what made the middle-class in America great.

You can buy your bus, strip out the seats and move-in. From there, you can head to North Carolina or Wyoming or for brief visit to Quartzsite Arizona. I was only going to be there for two months and it turned into two years. Sometimes I go through time like I have all that I want and there is always more from where that (time) came from.

Or you can build a bus like Smitty did, sort of like forcing a square peg into a not so round hole. Sort of like being all dressed up with nowhere to go. The Brown Crown is my favorite but there are at least a top 10 of equals.

The property next door to mine has been divided up with the city keeping the four -- stall shop building that housed the fire trucks and ambulances from the main house residents. The place I have was a onetime part of the complex sort of a small guest house. If I produce the body of work that I hope to and have a small start on, this place will be an art gallery/studio.

Politics these days is like our weather, extreme swings from mild to wild, drought to flood, everyone is affected by the uncertainty and polarizing rhetoric.

The less I see of it, on this web site the better.

But if I have to make a political statement relative to the skoolies web site-what this country needs is inexpensive 22.5 tires for our buses. Here Here

Ok for some reaso I can`t put pics up - they will be at my website http://yankeflyer.com/default.aspx

I'm having the same problem uploading pics. Size is not the problem either. I tried shrinking them down way smaller than my usual size and it still would not take them. I get the same kind of error message.

I gave up on posting pics through this web site server. Too much hassle. Best thing to do is a photo hosting service.
