Re: 84 Thomas - The Yankeflyer
Ultilmantly I would like a caskade setup on my car hauler in an over head configuration and go for a thousand mile range and keep the cost down by fueling at home. Some where along the line the road tax issue will come up but it should easy to address as long a natural gas stays cheap and plentiful. http://www.skoolie.net/forum/downloa...hp?id=4451&t=1

Re: 84 Thomas - The Yankeflyer
After looking at the map,I was like this sucks......then I thought about how much it(and the tanks wt) would be and then a big tank...
Initial fuel might be $$ but over say a couple thousand mile trip, ending up back home where its gaurnteed filling up.,its not to bad in actuality
Dang spelling is crap

I see that you have a few guitars. Do you use open tunings? Do you do any Kottke stuff?

Re: 84 Thomas - The Yankeflyer
I noticed you put a valve stem on your fuel cap to pressurize the fuel tank. That is frickin' genius, man! I'm going to do that to all my diesels!

Re: 84 Thomas - The Yankeflyer
Ya hey no can play like Kottke GreenHouse all time favorite album. Hardly get to play any more just so busy with the house and the CNG conversion.
That tire valve got me out of a jamb for sure, when fuel pumps couldn`t and the bus was on 15% incline nose down, putting 15/20 lbs of air pressure made all the difference and the 3208 started right up. I`ll put the bus on ebay and some craigslist. Just showed it yesterday and running good and ready to go. I need to take a pic with the trailer hooked up.

Re: 84 Thomas - The Yankeflyer
Not uploading pics again ???
Three days to go.
Has propane tanks, water, fresh and grey. The cammode is electric so no blackwater to dump. Most of living quarters are yet to be designed and built. The 3208T only has 25 thousand miles on it - tires are fair - pulling the car hauler is little different than with out it - lots of power. Low reserve - for sale here and advertised on the skoolie website http://oklahomacity.craigslist.org/rvs/3342853013.html viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1728&start=60
viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1728&start=135
The car hauler goes with the bus.

Re: 84 Thomas - The Yankeflyer
Sold $2500 - lived in it for six years I guess I can pass on my good fortune without complaint. Maybe the new owner will continue the thread. Sure are a lot of great projects here.

Re: 84 Thomas - The Yankeflyer
A CNG bus would be so cool - who knows the future - its hard to see beyoud a couple months out these day. Finishing my CNG conversion on my car is right up there on the prioritie list. These buses will out live their owners so this comunity has a certainty that is compeling to many and a determind bunch we are. I`m sure to want to see whats going on with the Yankeflyer a year from now.

Re: 84 Thomas - The Yankeflyer
87 and 76 not exactly a young couple but they left excited as kids on Chistmas morning. Got their car loaded on the trailer and followed them
down to fill up the tank and it turned out the tank had 30 gal of fuel in it, thats a hundred dollars they wont have to spend going back to Missouri. Though they bought it off ebay something tells me they aren`t going to be keeping up with the skoolie website.
