Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

Well, i have been busy at work, but i managed to build a door for the fuel area with an old fuse box door, a lock from home depot and a piano hinge from the re-store for 50 cents. my dremmel comes in handy for this

i also picked up two booth seats from the re-store for $20 each. they were originally from a Red Lobster, so i will have to get used to the fish motif they are longer than i would have liked, and i will need to figure out how to add a table so any suggestions would be great. perhaps i can move them to the other side of the bus. i am also thinking about hacking off part of the counter, that way i can move the booths back and still have useful room in front of them near the entry stairs.

My table was quick and easy....its semi-permanent (doesn't fold down) check it out in my build would work great with your setup!

The booth is the most used area of my bus. It's totally worth the space it takes up. My bench seats each have a small storage space underneath which is real handy. I think you got a great deal on yours, considering how much time it takes to build one yourself. If you get motivated one day you could always recover the seats with something more to your liking. I will likely do some upholstery work on my booth seats and facing couch so they all match. But that's a distant priority...

Thanks Dan,

the seat bottoms lock in and can be removed revealing a space as well. i will take some pics of it, and hopefully i will find a use for it. Someday i may change the lobster/fish upholstery motif, but right now i kind of like it. they have a bunch of these booth seats at the re-store, and people were snapping them up at $20 a piece

thanks
Eric

I don't know about the fish on the seats. They would just remind me of all the ones that got away.
