i cut wood to cover the pillars and added more window sill wood. i also screwed down some molding beneath the sill and shellacked the whole thing. i need to cut more 1x4 lumber down the 3 inches to cover the remaining pillars on this side.

The carpeted walls and the window trims look great together.

thanks Accordion, i hope the carpet holds up well. i used industrial carpet tiles and industrial vinyl glue. i think the glue is for gluing down counter top vinyl. im going to add some more tan carpet tiles to the area beneath the seat rail, and some base board trim.

Agreed. I was going to do the same thing. I ended up doing the window sill (using pine, since I'm cheap) and was about to do the upright supports when I realized that my curtains pretty much cover them whether they are open or closed, so for now I've decided to hold off on that. I'll probably get to it eventually, when I start running out of fun interior stuff to do, and need to be distracted from more unpleasant jobs that I'd rather put off...

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

i did a little work this weekend. i added some curtain rods made from oak dowels, added some more window sills, and i put in an order for some 18 ga sheet metal for the windows im going to delete. i cut up an old curtain to test the one of the rods. i found a working Hyundai car stereo with cd player at goodwill. i also picked up some sony surround sound speakers at goodwill. that im going to mount above the drivers area.

OK.. so now I'm nervous. Your bus looks so pretty with the window treatments and carpet tiles. I can only hope that I can do that nice of a job. I got into your string on about page 11 with a question. Need to read back.

Beautiful.
