The straps should follow the contour of the tank and mount (with 1/4" bolts) to the flange of the frame--cheap insurance
thanks Trunt, i will use some stapping

thanks for the tank calculations guys, once i find out for sure i will let everyone know

my second tank im going to use for a for black shows as being 59.5x12x10. when i calculate that one on the on-line calculator from Nat_ster it give me around 140 gallons, and i know that isn't correct. I'm going to try some aquarium calculators.

59.5 x 12 x 10 = 7140 cu in divide by 1728 (1 cu ft) = 4.1319 cu ft x 7.48 (gal per cu ft) = 30.9 gallons = Roger Nat

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

installed my RV range hood and duct today. now i just need to straighten it out a little, run power to it, then finish this cabinet and all the rest of them. i first measured a hole, cut through from the inside then drilled out from all 4 corners, went outside, attached the lines with a sharpie, then added some space for the actual size of the outside duct then used a dremmel. a little silicone caulk and some #8 self tapping sheet metal screws worked well.

Turned out great, I have always wondered...every time I see that wall....what are you doing for back splash?

Every time I open the thread, I can't wait to see....it's still not done

Thanks bansil,
I'm thinking some kind of linoleum or vinyl tile, i just haven't gotten there yet. I want something that can be glued to both the range black splash and the side wall that is Farly light and can be wiped down easily. i have been keeping my eyes open when i visit the re store. i am always open to suggestions

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

After our first trip and having to clean all counter tops from, grease and spills etc, as well as crumbs in between wood

I had a bunch of sheets of lexan 1/4 in and made covers for the counters.

When not being used or in transit they get tucked away between wall and cabinet

I am maybe thinking 2 part epoxy this spring, like bar tables...easy clean, smooth and would look good(just have to seal underside gaps)

For Me the material was cheap (free)

thanks Bansil,
i wonder if i could make a back splash out of the vinyl used in making shower walls? it would be easy to clean. i tried to using 2 part bar top epoxy to try and repair a solar panel it never cured properly and i had to remove it.it could be i had the proportions off, didn't mix it enough or i had bought poor epoxy, because it have seen some cool tables done with it.

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

looks like you have plenty of space from flame to wall, so heat shouldn't be an issue

I would take it all the way up the wall so anything pulled by fan can be cleaned

Okay. So... I'm glad your hands aren't all hairy and weird like former Teen Wolf here:

I GET that some of it is dirt and grime, but there is a LOT of knuckle hair there. A LOT.
