Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI
Just wondering, since you are installing one , what are the pros and cons to a "tub" versus "pan" for the shower? Obviously you can sit (somewhat) with the little tub, but is it worth building up the walls, and stepping over a tub? It seems a shower pan might be easier to get in and out and have more standing room, but a tub could be used for large pots and pans or washing off "stuff" as well? I have a tub like the one you have pictured (not installed yet, older used two piece shower) but I am considering going to just a pan. Any input would be appreciated. It seems to me most use tubs, but not sure why.

i got this one because i figured i could save a foot of unusable wheel well hump space by extending the sit down part over it. that and it was available at the used RV parts store at the time.

I sank the bath in my bus. It required the addition of a second grey tank with a lift pump to deal with the floor drain.. It is nice to have 6'2" of clearance in the bath though.

that would be an amazing amount of headroom. i don't like the idea of a pump for the shower water though.

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI
I'm not a big fan of the lift pump either but since there was only 5'6" of head room in the old bus, it seemed the only option. I used a 6 gal grey tank with a submerged pump. The pump has a filter at its intake so until that plugs up I'll be OK. With the little tank, even when the thing does plug up, removal and cleaning won't be a big deal--and it beats being a dirty bird.

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI
Great job on the cabinetry, question in my bluebird the windows are 30" off the floor, are they higher in a Wayne, I am about 6 foot and I have seen cabinets installed at the bottom and about 6" up so they are in the middle of the first pain, not a criticism just a question as cabinets are 36" high. I mean the bottom cabinets not the top I am tired from a full day of working on my bus.
