Exactly why I bowed out of that particular soon-to-be-argument, but some insist on making it a federal case...

What I can vouch for is the fact that when I worked at AutoZone, we had a special on DuraLast top-post batteries of a certain size group. They were stacked on the concrete floor as a display. EVERY SINGLE ONE of the batteries on the bottom row (that sat on the CONCRETE) had problems. None of the others did. Can anyone EXPLAIN that? Call it what you want. Agree to disagree. Back to the OP's build... What's new?

The batteries must have been laid out in an east west direction. That will definitely do that. If you want the batteries topped off, they must be in a north sound direction. Sorry, had to put in my 1 1/2 cents.

Bus is looking great by the way.

Cute. Gives it a bit of alien mystery. Looks like it works good.

Actually, the front of the bus looks like a dogs face with nose and ears and with a top knot on his head.

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

i had a mishap today. was cutting down large branches in order to move the bus forward a couple of feet so i can finish installing the awning. when i got down from the roof i noticed this:

one of the large branches must have bounced up and broke one of the windshield panes. i wonder if anyone knows where i can go for bus windshield glass.

I had a small crack in mine and the weather has made it travel all over the place so I will have to replace mine eventually as well.

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

i got the other leg of the awing installed and installed the awing on top. i have come to the conclusion that i need a second person. usually i can figure out a way to do a 2 person job by myself it just takes twice as long, but i need help supporting the awning so i can feed the fabric into the c channel that holds it to the bus as it is too damn heavy and awkward. so far it looks ok.

i finished routing the coax cable and power to the antenna amplifier, cut a hole and installed the amp into the bulkhead next to the TV.

I mounted the propane catalyst heater and tested both the heater and stove with my new regulator. i have my 3/8 copper tube, flaring tools and all the hardware to run the propane line out the bottom of the bus to where the tanks will be mounted to both the stove and heater.
