i installed my Marinco power connector in the bus today. i attached some 30A cable to it ran it under the bus, attached it to the floor ribs with metal strapping, and cut a hole in the floor under the cabinet and ran it up to the power area of my cabinet where the converter is installed. I sealed the hole with spray foam. i figure i can always drill though the foam is i need to run other wires through that hole. now i need to finish attaching. the twist connector at the other end in the cabinet
i did some more work on the power system in the bus i hooked up the power converter installed some outlets so that i can plug and unplug between the converter and inverter once it is installed, and i installed a power strip to provide outlets for the kitchen area and inside the cabinet if needed. i also installed a duplex outlet in the refrigerator access area.
i added the next shelf for the RV microwave. and positioned it in there. tomorrow i will install the face for the entire cabinet, and possibly the door for the power cabinet. i also installed an old dome light in the power cabinet which will run off either the battery or the converter same as the range fan and light.
so today i ended up installing a light switch and the 2 RV lights i purchased a while back in the kitchen. they are 12V DC fixtures, but i ran them through a regular 12V AC switch as they are low wattage it should work ok for a while. i plan on replacing the bulbs with LED versions in the future in order to decrease the amount of power going through the switch and coming out from the battery or the converter as this is set up to use either.
I did some more work on the cabinet today. i used some LDPE packing foam to brace the microwave inside its cabinet, and added a piece of wood at the back so it wont slide backward. i cut a front for the microwave out of plywood and built a cabinet door for the power cabinet and started painting. i still need to make a lower front piece for the Fridge.
