you have me beat on solar, i only have the 2 panels. they can put out around 10 to 12 amps in good sun for a battery that needs it, most of the time my battery is charged up so its like having a trickle charger on it.

my goal is to keep fridge going for a 24 hr period...that's maybe 10 hrs of running, then I can plug into a pedestal , current setup was only good for about 5hrs

are you talking about a 3 way fridge, or a compressor type fridge?

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

not much work done lately on the bus,

i finished installing the RV ladder. i used mostly #10 self drilling screws. 3 of the legs i had to make myself after ordering the tubing and ladder hardware. i had to cut the tube to the proper length then hammer in the star nuts, drill new holes i the ladder than attach. i used a piece of pressure treated lumber to attach one of the ladder handrails to the roof as the roof i curved. i caulked around it and painted it with rustoleum aluminum color paint. ladder is sturdy as hell. now i can move onto finishing my battery bank.

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

i began working on the house battery box. i filled in the gaps in the dinette with some acoustical tiles, screwed some hardboard over it and then vinyl glued some counter top laminate i place. i then drilled a hole to the outside, added a vent, and cut and glued some insulation to the lid so that the top of the box will be level with the vent hole. it will also keep the cold air in.

Don't you just love working with that foam insulation? I used several layers in my bus and have almost gotten the little foam balls out of my garage (and hair) but I doubt I'll ever get it out of the bus. On the other hand, the "R" rating is pretty good and the price is right! Jack
