I think it looks very nice...Brown is a good color for a skoolie...but then I'm a little prejudiced

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

thanks guys, i like all the funny names, almond joy is pretty good as far as the paint, the roof turned out pretty smooth. i got some orange peel and runs on the sides of the bus, but i don't think i thinned it enough, and i probably should have taken more time. Dust wasn't an issue as it wasn't windy, and it solidifies pretty quickly. i think it turned out ok though. i bleached, inspected and cleaned my fresh water tanks today, and removed the decals and reflective strips from the left side and back. thanks for all the cool names, please give me more names when you think of them

also i scrubbed the hell out of the bus the day before i painted. i spent 4 hours with a brush, a broom, dish soap and a garden hose. the roof especially was spotless

Bansil,
i used 3/8 nap rollers for the almond roof. it came out very smooth. make sure to thin the Rustoleum with mineral spirits. high density foam rollers on the brown sides.

i got the back of the bus painted, this was hard. it took a lot of heat, razor blades and goo gone to remove all the decals, stickers and reflective tape. but it is done. i still need to do the left side and the front of the bus.

I wasn't familiar with the name unistrut, did a quick search and found it is for "light structural support" Since water weighs over 8 pounds a gallon, it may not be the best material, unless you have a lot of it and it's free.

there are actually many different sizes, and widths of unistrut. they use it in buildings for seismic support and for running large pipes. the pieces of it they have running stuff at my work are pretty beefy, thick steel, its actually called superstrut, which is the same kind of stuff, but by a different company

your right, and to top it off, im dedicated to covering every tiny spot of yellow. i spent a couple of hours touching up the area between the black window gaskets and the frame. the blue tape was hiding some yellow there. i used some rustoleum in a cup and an artists brush.
