Is that green vehicle a mail jeep? I used to have one that was painted purple. I bought it from a friend's mom who was a mail carrier. What a great little vehicle! Only downside was having the steering wheel on the right side rather than left. But it sure was fun to drive!

On my last motorhome they where bolted thru the floor. Any chair that could be used during transit required seatbelts and bolted thru the floor....... Even the sofa was bolted thru the floor.
You want it secured so it will stay in place in case of accident.......

Just food for thought

On the blue swivel rocker I have, I drilled out the four rivets holding the stand to the swivel plate, and then bolted it up through the floor. I agree that it needs to be very secure if you're going to use it in transit.

They have to be put in a barn for several years every time they go postal....

so i guess i will bolt the chair to the floor, then rig up some kind of seat belt for it, and find a way to lock the swivel/glide action.

I've been considering this also. I don't mind the standard bus doors so much really except that they squeak loudly when opening and then also I have to slam them closed from the outside, which is loud if people are sleeping inside. I may decide to just modify the standard bus door as others have, so it opens and shuts like a regular door rather than a bi-fold.

You might keep an eye out for a door that includes a "curb viewer" down low or add one to whatever you find. Makes a big difference when parking or pulling up next to things...like fuel pumps and such. I just bought a narrow boat window to add to mine. It will fit vertically.

i thought about doing this too, but the bus door has a gap between the edge and the bus frame that if bridged by rubber. i think it would be hard to lock unless you added metal to the frame, and if im gong to do that i might as well get a scrap RV door.

I really like that table, the carpet should help with the sound deadening

Re: 87 Wayne Lifeguard international S1700 CXXVI

i built my first section of window sill using a piece of 1x3 oak trim. i learned that 1x3 is not exactly 3 inches wide. so for the pillars i will need to cut my own 3 inch wide sections. i added amber shellac to the wood. I ended up using 3 inch #10 metal screws. I also removed 2 windows of the 2 sizes on my bus and measured them for sheet metal skins to cover the ones im gong to delete.
