I left it as SOLD for a reason.... thousands of people visited the kijiji page, most of then will visit skoolie forum, which is good.

I know, I sold it at a huge loss.... I am not even recovering the cash I spent, not even close, let alone the labor....

But, i think about this positively, as we will have another new life... actually 4-th for me....

I might start building something interesting in Europe.....

I wanted to take another look at the bus and managed to find it on Kijiji.

I was really interested to see the most recent pictures of the interior. Here are the photos listed in Vlad's ad:

That bus is something amazing.

PS: Vlad, if you don't want these links posted I can take them down. I was interested to see it, so thought others might be as well.

Also, good luck on your new adventure! I wish you well

No problem at all. I shared all this, so others can copy paste or get some ideas..... not asking for royalties 😀

We all share our passion to invent and create, so be it.

Virtual tour from April 2019

I'm Greg, I'm the guy to bough Vlad's bus last year. I took some 360 degree picture when I first got the bus home.

I'm not sure how many times this link can be used, Virtual Tour

I made a ton of progress with it from April till August when to took it for a trip from Windsor ON to Nova Scotia. I'm hoping to borrow the 360 camera again to do an 80% complete tour before I get back to working on it this year.

3 Year update

Yes, I still have the bus, It's mainly finished at this point and we've done a couple trips using it.

There's more work I'd like to do but I ended up putting the bus in storage to free up space.

I'll try to post a few pictures a day for the next couple weeks to get everyone updated.

Painting
Before I could bring the bus home I had to paint it, I used all Rustolum paint starting with their aluminum primer on the aluminum wall panels and galvanized steel areas and spray cans of acid etch primer on any bare steel. I thinned the paint with acetone and used a Wagner electric paint gun. I should have done two full coats, one looks kind of thin in some spots.

Generator mount

I build a mount with heavy duty slides to hold the generator in the engine bay. The generators slides right out to refuel and it locked in place with a pin. the 120v 3550watt generator is equivalent to a 30amp camp site hookup. My electrical system is 1 phase which has only been a limitation when selecting a mini split, there's fewer options for a 120v minisplit

Landing gear

I installed 5000# weld on trailer jacks for landing gear.
in the rear there's enough room to use the crank handles but in the front I removed the handles and use ratchet and slotted socket to crank them down.

Steps

For steps I was able to find a set of MORryde at an RV service dept with a small dent. They're very easy to deploy and for $300 saved a ton of fabrication work
For the front, I welded one step that tucks away.

Bunk beds

With 2 sheets of 3/4" plywood and few 2"x4" I built a set of bunk beds with a ladder for support.
When they're put away they're around 12" deep. They each hold a single mattress

Powered Slides

The first trip we did in the bus we had to push out the slides manually. At one camp site the bus was tilted a little to the large slide's side so it was very difficult to push the slide back in.

Before Vlad moved, he called me up with some left over parts from the build.
This included a 24VDC single action hydraulic power pack for the slides,

Vlad had already mounted the hydraulic cylinders, I had to bolt the ram to the slide, run hoses and work out how to use a single action power pack to extend and retract the slides. I used a directional control valve to swap the direction in the lines.

There's a quick video on the pump in action, I can only run the hydraulics with the bus running, so far the 12v system has run the 24v pump OK. The life span is likely shortened by running it this way.

Ceiling

For the ceiling we installed 1x6 tongue and groove pine, stained white with water based clear.
