Had someone out day before yesterday to weld in new floor beams and a floor pan! Turned out great https://imgur.com/a/CodAugo though progress has stalled again as life is back to getting in the way. Still chugging along thought!

ID:	25459 plywood and foam went in today! Well, most of it. Still need to do around the front wheel wells and driver seat. I used liquid nails and self tapping wood to metal screws with ¾ inch xps foam board and ¾ inch plywood.

https://imgur.com/a/OAqO2oP Marine hatches arrived and went in yesterday! http://www.vetusmarine.com/store/p/7...atch-6363.aspx these were the ones I bought, the emergency exit holes had to be widened by ½ inch, but other than that they went in great! Also put a new flasher in because the housing on the old one was cracked.

ID:	27078 got the area around the drivers seat cleaned up, and actually put my drivers seat in. Only thing left to do is move the seat belt brackets over from the old one.

Also been having some title trouble (Indiana, tried to do the Vermont way) if anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated

What issues are you having? I'm up in Lafayette and it went smooth for me.

So far I have been to the Carmel branch, brownsburg branch, and 3 of the Indianapolis ones (Michigan, Mickley, and Madison). What happens is they get confused when I tell them about my lack of a real title, (bus is an 02, so older then 15 years) and have to look it up in the NADA book. Even if I get past the confusion on the lack of title, they often see that I already had a title in the past in Indiana. (This is because when I bought it, I immediately titled it in my name as a truck. I wouldn’t have done that if I knew what sort of problems it would cause) but at the most recent one i have been to (Mickley), they scratched their heads a bit but sent me away with a body change form to fill out. So ill get that filled out, and go back and see what they tell me.

Interesting. Why is there no title? Indiana requires one regardless of it being 15 or older. I had a cop friend fill out the change of use for (he said it was an RV but at that point I hadn't done anything yet). Proof of insurance from State Farm and BMV had no issues.

Side note, we have nearly the same bus. 02 International 40' RE. DT530 with Allison 6th unlocked, high top with AC and factory cruise.

How did you get 6th unlocked?

My bus was ordered for athletics so it was for road trips and had lots of upgrades. Local International dealer printed me the original option list and said it was easily over $125,000 new.

Went to the BMV for like the 10th time today and finally got my title sorted out! I believe what they had to do is amend the old title, so in about a week I will be receiving a Indiana title that has me titled as a motorhome/RV! Next up is to get it insured and plated so I can take it for a test drive.

My main problem was the BMV officials would often get confused about my lack of title. They would then call the downtown service Center for some information and the downtown service center would always recommend that I do the conversion paperwork (where you have to show proof that it’s been converted). What ended up happening is they amended my title with an affidavit of ownership, vin inspection, and body change application. I did not have to provide any proof that I did the conversion.

I also 3D printed a new plastic piece for part of my dashboard. I can provide the file if anyone is interested. Not perfect, so I may try to re-print, but it turned out ok. Click image for larger version

Have you insulated the ceiling and walls yet? I just got a quote on closed cell spray foam for the walls and ceiling in mine.

I have. I got a quote for spray foam from a local place, but it was just too expensive for me. I would rather put my funds elsewhere in my bus, so i opted for foam board. Click image for larger version

I am looking for an all season bus so insulation is important. With the diy kits it seems like 3 is the magic number. I figure if I could get it done cheaper by a pro I would. Got the bid today for $1200 ish for 2 inches on walls and ceiling. I'm pleased with that price.

What are your goals for the bus?
