Lorna, you can see what this little 2cylinder diesel tractor is capable of doing by going to the link of the underground house that I posted above.

By the way, I love how you painted the hot dog cart once you got to Texas.

Hi Accordion. I followed your bus on Sharkey's site. I guess he took all the marbles and went home.

It's always interesting to see your pictures.

Re: Best Home Yet

Bus-bro, The Shark has retired.

Here is a report on flooring. Although I like the way the wood floor looks, it is NOT a good option if you have dogs. In this photo you see how nice it looked when I first installed it. It still looks good on the walls.

Now, after a couple of years of the dogs bringing in dirt and mud, you can see how the finish has worn. Also there are gaps between the boards that have separated. Dirt gets in the cracks. I have to vacuum the dirt out. I would recommend a durable vinyl floor or restaurant grade vinyl tiles. They are easier to clean, and are resistant to the dog's nails.

Re: Best Home Yet

I have moved to a new location. There is room for the dogs to run around. It is in the country. There is a great view out of my front window. Here are some pics. As you may know, I am, and have been a full-timer for a few decades.

Re: Best Home Yet

Accordion doesn't buy property, he rolls onto property. A fulltimer doesn't pay property tax.

Re: Best Home Yet

Well, at least not directly; and not at all if you can find a free place to park.

Re: Best Home Yet

I do have a place to park, but nothing's free. Building this deck is my way of "paying property tax".

I used to live on the streets of Los Angeles, Seattle, and other cities. That was known as "urban camping". Being parked on private property is a lot better.
