Re: BigBallsBus documented with pictures

that is awesome ... not exactly what i imagined, but even better I'm guessing that would cost some serious $$ did you get a chance to go on the bus and see how they work?

Re: BigBallsBus documented with pictures

No I didn't ride the bus, I should have since the weather was crappy (snow/rain mix) and it sucked trying to walk around to see stuff. I wouldn't have been able to see them open, but it would have been cool to see the sights from the dry/warm bus. They have a website http://www.touristbusamsterdam.nl/

i think you could replace one of the roof panels with 1/4 inch lexan. It's not fun, but you can grind off all 47 thousand rivets and remove the roof panel.

Re: BigBallsBus documented with pictures

we barely even cleaned it all we did was took a paper towel and wiped down the dirt and i scraped the gum off the walls. the only place i would put some time and effort into would be where it says emergency exit. When you peel off the stickers it will leave a adhesive that does not cover well, but we are just going to put something over it. i would also obviously take a wire brush to any chipping paint. this is what i did and it has turned out nice thus far, others with some more experience may be able to help you more.

Yea that doesn't sound like much fun to me either, i don't think i would do it unless i had a jucuzzi like you have or something of that nature.

Here is one link. They just bolt onto any pair of black mudflaps. It sucks that they are all stainless and so expensive though!($50). http://store.actionaccessoriesstore.com ... ail?no=120
The bus is looking good. For roof panels, look into the emergency exit frames for the roof. You could take multiple of these and install the frame and fill it with plexyglass. Just a thought. Good luck.
