BMM70047 New Skoolie

I just Purchased My First Skoolie. It's a 1973 BlueBird All American Flat Nose Front Engine.Ford Gasoline Engine, Alison Transmission, Air Brakes, Air Ride Suspension 74,517 Original Miles on Bus. I Drove it Home Yesterday (400 Miles) Its in Bad Shape but Rode werthy. It was a Church Bus. I Also have a 1994 Coachman Camper I purchased for Donner Parts. My Plan is to Make a Toy Hauler/RV Conversion. I will Post Some Pictures when I get a Chance.

Thanks,
Kevin

The thing about having a gasoline engine is conversions kits are available for natural gas. Diesel is back up to 3.00 a gallon or higher in some parts of the country.

my 454 is not that great on mpg partly cause it's gas and a 4 speed stick with a 2 speed rearend with 900/20s

Re: BMM70047 New Skoolie

I see some extra caulk on a front seam of that camper. Does it have some rot or other structural problems that made it available for parts. Otherwise the interior looks so good I'd be tempted to even salvage cabinets if possible.

That bus should clean up well. I like the storage bays and the factory air conditioning.

Re: BMM70047 New Skoolie

The Floor in the Camper has some Soft Spots. Other than that everything in it is in real good shape. I was gonna make a Toy Hauler out of it but the Rear Bathroom was an Issue. So I decided to do a Bus Toy Hauler Conversion.

Thanks,
Kevin

Very cool. can't wait to see how you make your tailgate on the bus. It is an old ugly bus from the looks of it. But some fresh paint on the interior extierior, dash ,nice carpet and you will have a sweet looking ride.

You will have plenty of room to do whatever! With the camper parts, id say it looks like you have a good start! Good Luck!

Geez, too bad, that's a nice trailer. Maybe sell it, buy a junker, and pocket the difference in money?
