Re: Buster

Get a sample piece of the flooring and give it a good scratch test. Bus floors take a lot more abuse than a home floor and many laminate flooring brands have a very thin finish layer which can wear through quickly. Plywood flooring just comes apart if it gets wet for an extended time so vinyl planks may be a better choice.

One of the members here is a builder and he recommends the Trafficmaster vinyl plank flooring for it's durability and water resistance.

Re: Buster

Thanks for the info! We are still prepping for painting. However, I did get the whole one side of the interior primed! We both work full time so when we get home we grab a quick bite to eat and head out to do a hour or two of work each night. SO progress is slow but progressing.
Still waiting for the welder to be able to find time to come.

Nice find!

I was wondering about our roof vent too. I have thought about putting a vent fan in it's place, but haven't decided for sure yet.

Re: Buster

We found the bus in a local salvage yard. It was being used as storage. But the engine is very sound--although won't go over 55 miles an hour.

Re: Buster

Progress has been slow due to heavy work schedules. But we are making some headway on the exterior paint. The flooring arrived. I love it and can't wait to see it in.

Well, we are finally able to get to the bus again. It was surrounded by snow drifts and ice for so long we were wondering how it would fare. But it is great. No leaks that we could see. So we start again.

I am actually Laurel. So not sure how I became a new member but anyway. WE are starting on the kitchen area and bathroom. Going to keep it as simple as possible.

Good to see progress, and no leaks is a major plus
