Re: Camp Never Rest Mafia Wagon! 1979 bluebird

I would agree, and no worries on the jacking of the board... it was a valid question!

We plan to cover them in sheet metal, so we are not to worried about that!

Check out our updated on Youtube!

Thanks!

Tis the fear, but I have some buddies that are going to help out! Just figured we would get the inside done first... that in itself was a challenge!

I like how you did the ceiling, and all the woodwork... spalted pine- I like it. Are you gonna leave it the natural finish?

Re: Camp Never Rest Mafia Wagon! 1979 bluebird

We plan on leaving it natural.... we all decided we liked the look!

As far as using screws... all of the framing was screwed directly to the walls, and ceiling. We then used an air naier to attach all of the pine. The ceiling took some engineering, but in the end looks great! One advantage was that we were able to insulate between the pine and the roof of the bus... the sucker is insulated beyond belief!

Our intention was to eliminate the feel of a school bus on the inside... we were able to do that!

Thoughs/comments?

Still working on the drivers area... getting the captains chair was easy, getting it to mount, and seated correctly... NOT SO MUCH! However we got it!

Also, the other seats (blue) we got from a "pull your own parts" auto wreckage. All the seats cost us $100. if you get creative.. you can find about anything!

However, you might have trouble getting that into private RV camps. Tailgating might be a different story.
