Did a little more testing with the workshop tools running off the solar batteries and inverter. The 1/3hp bench grinder peaks at 65 amps (all 12v) at startup and then settles down to only 3 amps with no load. Obviously it will use more if I put a load on it. I had to do some welding so I plugged in my Lincoln Weld Pak 100 to see how it would do. I had it on B (A-D, D being the highest) since I was just welding some sheet metal. Looks like it peaked around 160 amps and when I was running a good bead it was around 70 amps.

I don't plan to use the welder on a regular basis from the solar bank, but it was good to know it could handle it if needed.

It is indeed a nice capability. You never know when you might need a welder away from an AC source.

Rerouting the exhaust to make room for the second storage box on the other side.

New exit location.

Cut the hole for storage box #1. The second one will go just aft of the rear wheels.

Finished up box #1, just need to install the rub rail. Should have box #2 done tomorrow.
