The best place in my opinion is right above the windows on each side down the length of the bus. On each rib of the frame (where the rivets are before you remove the skin) there is a cavity that allows the original tail light wires to access the rear of the vehicle. It’s about 3’’x3’’ wide and should do the trick..I’ll see if I can’t get a close up pic tomorrow for ya in the day light.

Re: Church Bus
Put on the bottom supports for the deck on by drilling through the inside and securing the Key Klamp to the frame of the bus with a 5” carriage bolt.

Re: Church Bus
Are you planning..(or already have ) cut it down to 96 in?
and did you get all the fittings thru MCMaster Carr or did you find a place for better pricing?

My mirrors stick out to 108’’ so I cut the beams down to that but am weary about my upcoming title switch over from conversion to rv that they might bust me in the inspection. I got the key klamps at simplifiedbuildings.com….after a lot of research it seemed to be the cheapest but not by much

Re: Church Bus
I was told that max vehicle width was 96 inches, safety equipment (mirrors and such) didn't count.
Might want to check, that would suck to be probable cause to be pulled over and be OverSize

Re: Church Bus
96 is the max without restrictions. 102 is the max legal width but some states will restrict you on some roads. I wouldn't have your deck at 108 or you will be asking for trouble. The bus looks good. I thought you just started on it and I was getting mad...at myself for the slow pace.
This is California.
