For your sake, I hope you don't share my mechanical abilities...
Greta at taking things apart. Less than great at getting them back together.

Re: Credit Score 1000 Bus
Mostly it had bad connections, but there was some things that needed cleaning inside. And I wanted to check to make sure the vinyl gear was still good. It's running now.

Re: Credit Score 1000 Bus
Finally got the webasto heater working and now my bus won't start. It cranks over 2 times and then the power dies. All the lights go out and my clock resets. And it will slowly keep cranking and kill the battery after every crank.

Throw a trickle charger on it and check the oil. These motors won't start if they're low on oil.

I can see why that guy only charges 300 per unit. It really doesn't take much to pull these apart. It was scary but simple. Very simple system.

They are very simple....until one burns up on you and you begin to question whether you want to fiddle with it or not.

It feels good to get back to working on the bus again. I'm almost done with my insulation. I ordered spray foam to finish up this weekend. I put 2" of foam board in between the supports and will cover all of it with 1" spray foam. It may be over kill, but I will be living in it full time come November. I hope . It takes me a while because I'm one person.

does doing it this way insulate better than doing straight spray foam?

No, I had to get 2" in before my trip to Indidan in December. You can't spray foam unless the temp is above 60. I decided to glue in foam board. The RMAX I used is R-6 per inch, spray foam is R-7 per inch.

Well I suck at posting photos. But my floor is done. And I gutted a whole pop up camper for parts too. Lots of progress happening.
