No rust is what matters.
I used a 2 inch pump from the pond to wash all the remaining fiberglass insulation out of the bus after the demo. This prevented me from having to deal with all that nasty itchy fiberglass dust.
A pressure washer would do the same.
Disposable Tyvek coveralls also help if the fiberglass bats have turned to dust like they did in my bus.

Mine fold under the window as well. I ended up using a RotoZip tool to cut them out and then going over the cut with the angle grinder.
You can see the panel has been partially cut:
You can see the cut edge in this pic:

I live in work boots. In today's age, work boots are lighter, and more comfortable than any other foot ware I can buy. Also no matter what life throws at me, I'm ready for anything. If a massive storm crumbles buildings, I have the right foot ware to pull people from the wreckage without harming my feet.
A week ago I was first on scene to a barn fire that threatened over a dozen other property's, and countless lives. Myself and a friend were able to battle the flames and got the fire under control before the fire department got there. Without my boots, I would have been no use to anyone.
If I have sex during the day, my boots stay on. With my boots, I'm ready for anything. Just like it was in the Canadian armed forces. Your feet must come first.

I'm either in work boots during the day or Birkenstocks after work. Life is to short to wear uncomfortable shoes!

Total agreement here.
I buy mine used off ebay for around $30 a pair. I wear them out. They last about 18 months on me. Sometimes I get a couple years out of them.
If you look at my gnarled toes you'll see I have no big toe nail. Part of why I wear the Birks 24-7.

Wow, I wouldn't wish my used birks on anyone! By the time I'm done with them they are toast. My wife buys me new pair for my birthday every year. I tried using the birkenstock insoles that they make in my work boots, but it did not work out well, so I went back to the inserts from the walking company.
I got the same lesson that natster did, just from the US Army, take care of your feet, and they will take care of you!

well- by "used" I actually mean someone bought them, hated them and sold them almost immediately. You'd be surprised. I think some of the used ones I've bought had been worn less than five minutes!
I'll take used to save a hundred bucks! ;)
For work boots, Red Wings all the way. I wore out two pair in my life so far.

Great to see so many fellow former Canadian army members here.
A week or so ago I found a new room to rent. The guy that owns the house is also a former Canadian army member.
