I can only assume 'Native' is from North Texas. In my 67 years I have never seen ya'll spelled y'all. BUT too each his own.

Many Texans aren't even aware of the greatness that Townes and Blaze were.

I'm just outside of Dallas. If I can provide you with some resources, please let me know. I am just starting my skoolie journey, myself.

We'll certainly be posting pics if we can bring this crazy dream to a good end...
As a fan of Townes Van Zandt and Blaze Foley, I am keenly aware of how Texans talk ( some of 'em at least ;) )
As I was reading this I smiled REAL big... Townes was actually playing from my speakers. That's not unusual... but whoa, what a crazy coincidence!
Currently listening to Nuthin. Townes was an AMAZING songwriter.

I'm bidding on it because its a gas engine.
If you wanna travel, you may want a more substantial bus with a diesel engine. These things are tiny and built on a pickup/van platform.

Then I went to my local branch of the tax office where there is never a line at all. Paid my tax, got my plates and motorhome designated title, and was out of there in 15 minutes. Yay!

So you didn't need pictures? I'm told you have to bring picture in to 'prove' it a motor home.

My DMV didn't care at all they would have titled it as a trailer if I asked them. The insurance company was way more concerned with what they were actually insuring. From reading everyone's experience it's really different between locations and even depending on who is at the desk when you arrive. It seems like everyone figures it out eventually however.

My problem is I don't want to wait till it's converted to get a title that I can drive. LOL We talked about gutting it, air mattress, camping table and folding chairs, and camping stove. Pictures. And then try.

I had no problems with insurance. I have a business so the agent stuck the commercial vehicle on the business policy until we can get it re-titled. Bare liability for $60 / month.
