They don't have Colorado available. My window of time also ran out. They fly out at ten tomorrow am.
I did all I could... Just like the last time.
They just DON'T make the tag office at all easy here in FL when it comes to out of state vehicles.

LOL... I picked mine up in VA and slapped the FL paper in the back window
Still haven't papered her. Waiting to have everything done and then I'll insure and tag her. Probably in August.

I took the plate off bus number 1 and used it to drive bus number 2 home, had insurance for bus 2 but no title or paperwork to get a tag, Missouri mails the title to you about 2 weeks after you pick up the bus and sign the bill of sale

IDk, I've been told by troopers that its better to have no tags than use the tags from another vehicle.
I tried that link WanderWoman posted but its for commercial rigs with dot #'s and doesn't actually give you a tag.

That's a great idea using it as a daily driver. Looking forward to the progress on the interior for a "work truck".

Yeah, thanks I've really been wanting one to use daily!
SO late last night I found an affidavit on Colorado's state motor vehicles site that's a "motor vehicle power of attorney". It basically gives my neighbor the authority to get a temp tag in colorado on my behalf. So we printed it out early this am and went to amscot, the only notary open early. Sent him and his wife off with it just now and they're on their way to the airport.
He was really sweating the no tag thing, so I dug DEEP to find that. There's VERY LITTLE info for out of state folks on CO's site or anywhere I could find.
Supposedly he can take the titel, BOS, Affidavit, insurance card, ID, and $6 and get a 5-10 day temporary registration at the Arapahoe Aurora tag office.
If that doesn't work he's just gonna have to drive it without a tag. I've done all I can.

I'm willing to bet that VA state troopers never took a close look at you. There's no PC way to say it; VA troopers are a bunch of A-holes.
That said, If I was EastCoast's neighbor, I wouldn't sweat it much but then I roll dirty all the time.

Worst they can do is give you a ticket and tell you to send in proof of registration once you're home. I've looked into it.

Yeah, that's why I wouldn't sweat it too much. Legally they can probably impound the vehicle and leave you standing on the side of the road but even the VA guys aren't that much of an a-hole. Besides a judge probably wouldn't like hearing that.

Its backwoods places out in BFE I worry about. I could see some remote place in TX throwing the book at you, maybe.
And GA cops. Ga cops hate us folks from FL.

I've found that even GA cops are ok once I turn on my southern accent.
Us floridians are some of the few southerners who can speak with and without the accent. Helps us assimilate into strange new worlds! lol
Wearing an old grateful dead shirt once got me stopped in Arvada Colorado. I was doing nothing but walking down the sidewalk and a real A hole cop "pulled me over" to ask me for ID and "what what I doing in town". Once he saw my Florida DL he got really friendly and I kept saying "i'm just a tourist, man... I'm on vacation!".
Knowing he couldn't bust me for the weed in my pocket felt really good. Damn I love Colorado.

My mom worked in logistics and my dad was a trucker. Both told me driving through VA is horrible due to the cops. I've also been warned about NJ.

NJ isn't so bad if you live there... Which I did for quite a few years.

I think you have it backwards. The local yocal I wouldn't see as a problem. I'm driving this to the farm. Going to RV it. Etc. "Oh cool, ya'll be careful now." It's the city state troopers that are usually the biggest dick-bags. Any major city with the interstate passing thru the center of town. As mentioned, especially NOVA (northern VA as they call it; DC basically).
The little local guys are hiding behind billboards looking for speeders. If you're rolling dirty, don't speed. In a bus, they are likely to ignore you anyway.

I'd have to respectfully disagree.
I'm from the VERY rural south, but I'm the first to admit its the last place you wanna get hassled by cops if you're not local.
Ever watched Deliverance??

Correction: NJ isn't bad if you don't mind sinkholes that the locals call potholes. Those assholes still owe me a set of shocks from the G.W. bridge.

MD sucks for licensing and all that jazz but being you're only 53 miles from a state line ANYWHERE in the state, it isn't too bad if you're driving thru.
