Re: Early 1990's Ford Bus

I'm confused, is your bus gas or diesel? If it's diesel it doesn't have a choke. If it's gas and you put diesel in it, that would explain a loss of power. If it's diesel and you put gas in it, don't start or drive it until you get the gas out of it. Diesel additive is available at any truck stop, although I doubt you would see much benefit from it except in winter.

X 2 on that. I do know that VW diesels had a "cold start" knob you used like a choke, but I don't know what it did. Try posting a picture of your engine with the air cleaner housing removed.

I would remove the School Bus sign windows, and use lacquer thinner on the backs if they are glass, and reinstall them. If they are plastic, it will melt the color into the window material.

ya i dont think diesels have a choke...

also noticed your bus is an automatic..

as for the backs of the bench's its easier to cut that 70 degree cut into the wood itself and then it lays flat on the board below it and gives room to attach it firmly.
