Finally bought the bus!

Description
Year: 1999
Make: International
Model: International
Mileage: 207935
Running Condition: Good
Engine: Diesel - DT466 E
Transmission: Automatic
Body Style: Ward
Tires: 295 75 R22.5
Brakes: Air- good
Capacity- 78

First thing we are doing is sending it off to have the roof raised 18”. We will be living on it full time, my wife and I and our 5 kids. Now the fun part of designing the floor plan. We couldn’t be more excited.

“If I am an advocate for anything, it is to move. As far as you can, as much as you can. Across the ocean, or simply across the river. Walk in someone else’s shoes or at least eat their food. It’s a plus for everybody.” Anthony Bourdain

Congrats on the purchase, and welcome to the fun!

How much is the raise setting you back, if you don't mind me asking?

What are the plans for the bus?

The raise is going to be $7500. I’m sure you can do it yourself much cheaper I just don’t want to take on that project and I want it to look as original as possible.

We are going to have the “master” at the back with bunks for the kids in front of that. That’s about as much as we know right now. We will be working on plans over the next week or two.

Who's in FL charging $7500 for roof raises? Just out of curiosity.

The company is out of NC. I wasn’t able to find anyone in Florida. Do you know of anyone?
