Re: Finally Starting to get to work

Managed to remove the rest of the roof and front panel. Found some nice little ladybugs that kept me company.

Well, wife has me making the bus into a Andy Warhol feature. More color schemes to decide upon.

First is a Hunter Green with an almond trim (rail).

Second is the Safety blue with Almond trim (rail)

Then a Safety Blue with Aluminum trim (rail). Looks almost like Teal huh?

Think we are going with the Safety Blue with Gloss White trim, that way it will blend right into the roof.

Liked the Hunter Green, but it is so glossy, I think it will show every little blemish and dent, the Safety Blue has a more subtle tone to it.

Going to probably use the Aluminum on the rims and accessories. Up front, where the flashers used to be, thought about adding some more headlights to "brighten" up the day. Anyone done this, or is it just usual to cover them up?

Well, off to Ingles to pick up some fresh Cabbage for the chickens. Let me know what you think of these colors, maybe you guys can come up with a better scheme.

Take it easy

Joseph

My vote's for either the Hunter Green or the Safety Blue.

Re: Finally Starting to get to work

I'd have to vote the blue/silver combo myself..I hate (ok, dislike strongly) green and the sand color doesn't work for me with the shade of blue you have to work with.

that blue is a little to gay looking for me (not that there's anything wrong with that).

i like the hunter green. can't you get it in something less glossy?

Re: Finally Starting to get to work

Well, haven't really done much work since my last post. Been busy on the chicken coop and trying to finish up some other projects around.

The Hunter Green wasn't glossy, just looked that way. So decided on the Safety Blue and White.

Went out to the bus today while it was raining to check for any major leaks, didn't find anything on the roof, but did find that the sides were leaking where the seams of the upper rub rail joined. Not all the panels, just a few toward the front. Any ideas on this or will the paint take care of it?

Going to see if I can repair the hood, front left has hole, so if weather cooperates, taking care of that this week, along with painting the interior.

Take care
Joseph
