Thanks very much! I must say that at the beginning I never thought it would be so detailed.

Today we installed the upper kitchen cabinets and hood vent:

Re: Good News Bus Conversion Project

I spend several hours looking around for it last night, and will probably spend several more today. Looks great in place. Model of the Hood, and or Manufacturer? Or, Online store you got it from? I want to add it to my list of "Collectables" pictures for my planning.

There are more info and pics on the blog. This unit is vented. It does have a grease filter.

This hood is manufactured in Italy by Baraldi.

Here is the manufactures description:

Sophistication that is characterized by aerodynamics and elegant lines. When inserted into the cabinet, the discrete low profile versions reveal less than 2" of height while concealing Baraldi's fast and powerful Jet-flo ventilation technology.

Residential style, multi-layer aluminum filters that utilize the entire perimeter of the range hood are combined with a powerful motor and centrifugal fan wheel to more effectively extract heat, grease, and smoke from the cooking area. Centrifugal fans can generate higher pressure at lower sound levels when compared to axial fan blades commonly used in recreational vehicle vents.

Fast and Powerful Jet-flo Ventilation:

* 194 CFM completely exhausts an average 25' trailer in under 7 min
* 2,150 RPM creating 4.6 lb/sq ft.
* 20 watts 12VDC

Whisper Performance: 56db (normal voice conversation at 3-5ft = 60db)

Halogen Lights: Two at 10 watts (140 lumens each)

"Easy-Clean" large, residential-style, removable grease filter

Thank You! I am not sure of the weight right now. I do plan on getting it weighed sometime soon. I am not to worried about it being that we took (I am guessing here) around 750 pounds worth of seating out and it will not have it's rated 72 passengers weighing it down. I hope those factors will balance out the weight of the construction.

I was able to give the RV-500 instant hot water heater a good try. The hot water stays a consistent 120 degrees!
