I looked for dry rot on the tires. The bus was retired two months ago, so it's in really good shape. I looked underneath, and any rust was surface rust. I forgot to get pics of it, though.

Awesome looking bus Bishop! What is the average price range Don Brown Sales is selling them for? They are one of the handful of big resellers on the East Coast I have bookmarked to investigate further when I am ready to buy. I've heard the buses from NY tend to be in good shape mechanically because they are very rigid on inspection there. One reason I'm interested in finding out more about them and what they sell the for. Thanks.

I got mine for $5000. Their prices ranged from about $3200 up to $30,000. You can check out their inventory at Don Brown Bus Sales, Inc - Home

They are really nice people. Carl is the used bus sales representative.

Try also Midwest Transit. I got my 84 passenger 2003 Thomas HDX for $8K last October. It only had 128K on the clock and all 6 tires are darn near brand new.

Or buy from an auction/school district and pay half those figures, or less.
My bus was $2150 and got me 810 miles home with no hassles and still starts quicker and burns less oil than my newish subaru.

I paid 4000, for mine and it is what I wanted in a bus, for not knowing what I wanted Lol guess we will see how it turns out in a few months.
The place where I got mine has a 92 blue bird with a 3116 cat and 4 speed auto
Trans, ($2500.00) it was a local bus from central Mo. Not a lot of salt. Or snow..anyway I have looked it over and the floors seem solid the body is pretty good
Just a little rust showing in front of the rear wheels, tires look pretty good.
I would have got it but we wanted a flat nose..it just worked better with the floor plan we wanted

IDK, but a cat and rust shouldn't cost you more than scrap.
I'd MUCH rather have your 95 with mechanical DT than just about any bus.

I like mine a lot, the other was cheaper, came from the same school and had a few less miles..
The rust wasn't anything I was worried about, like I said not very much..maybe the size of the end of a Coke can..very very repairable.
Like I said the floor plan was what we were looking at. Don't know if it was a ($1500)
Floor plan
