I had a friend come over and help with the tile. I've only assisted with a few "tile jobs" in the last decade so it was good to have someone around that knew what the heck was going on.

Another quick update:

I dig the glass tiles as a little back splash.

The galley

Passenger side, behind the seat. The solid fuel stove will be in this area. On the counter.

Need I say more.

Removing the surface rust.

High gloss Ace "Rust Stop" paint.

"Aircraft Remover" made the decal removal so much easier.

Re: Great White Buffalo - 92 BB All American RE

Been a little while since I posted some pictures.... sorry about that.

Here is what we've been working on in the last few months:

Sorry this picture is not the greatest. But you get the idea.

Hanging some doors we got from work.

Pantry door

Door lock version 1

The wood is going to be replaced with steel once this moves from beta testing.

Not the most secure way to lock the door but it will help keep the honest people honest.

Tank vents right through the bathroom. Kinda poor planing on my part. But the wife approved (she wants to plaster the pipe with stickers as time goes by)

Starting some trim work

to be continued....

A bit out of order but this one shows the color combo better. White roof and two tone gray-blue exterior.

Still a ways off from being officially done. Well at least as done as it's going to get before we move in full time. There is still touch up work and tons of little things here and there to finish up.
Do you really ever finish a skoolie conversion?

Re: Great White Buffalo - 92 BB All American RE

woodwork looks great. they make zip ties that have a hole on the end for attaching electric wires to whatever.. i used them on mine whilst running elect wires at the same height yours are. and drywall screws will screw right in to the metal.. also, an rv door would easily fit in your front door opening with a bit of furring out the framework.. if you wanted to do that. i have put 2 rv doors in mine. one is for the generator.. which is in what was the front step area. i can slide the window up in the door so the onanski gen can run cooler...

I just spent a very enjoyable time going through your complete build to date. It is hard to believe anyone could do that much work in so little time. I really like the interior--it is so clean and modern looking. A really great job!

You say that you are just about to move in--will you travel? Use your SKOOLIE as a stationary residence? What?

To other SKOOLIES, if you haven't read this complete thread you ought to. Much can be learned.
