Heavy Duty! --- Nice job Somewhere. That thing looks stout enough to drive 70 with the door open! Breeeezy.

Thanks for the link Tango. I will put that on my short list of possibilities.

Somewhere... the door stop/holder looks great. I think I really like that idea. Where did you find the spring/rubber bumper part?

Here are a few more updated pictures:

Great lookin' work on the door ---And I see that the text on the plaque wisely avoided the phrase"trained attack cat". "Wisely" cause there ain't no such thing. Cats do what cats feel like doin' when they feel like doin' it.

I made it out of parts laying around. The plunger is a 1/2 inch bolt that I cut the threaded part off of. I drilled and tapped a hole on the end
so I could bolt a rubber piece to the end. The rubber is a plug I cut with a hole saw out of some rubber barn mat.

Thanks guys!

"Attack cat" might be over stating it a bit much. The only thing that might vaguely resemble an "attack" is our cats chasing the red laser pointer or the squeaky mouse.

Thanks somewhere... I might copy this idea if you don't mind.

As my old art teacher used to say..."It's OK to steal ideas. As long as you only steal GOOD ideas". This one definitely qualifies.
