Re: Great White Buffalo - 92 BB All American RE
Great job, gonna have to keep comin back to this one. The wife and I bought a 39 ft 1993 conventional International, thinking the same thing, wanna be mobile (wanna be ready should **** hit the fan too). We got a steal up here in Washington, $3000 with only 101k miles on it! Had to come home and start doin some research and your post was inspiring! Thanks!

Thanks BC.
I sure will. There will be plenty more items to tinker with, as you well know. I'll be sure to post some more pictures as I go along.
Also we'll be headed up your way in the near-ish future. Before summer time at least. Maybe we can visit the orange orchard park?

Look forward to it Ryan...be sure to look me up on your way through. "Before" summer is a good time to come through Bakersfield because our summers can be brutal with the heat

Re: Great White Buffalo - 92 BB All American RE
Thom, here are a few pictures of the eyebrow covering.
Simple HD brown roof flashing riveted to the topside of the eyebrows. Ran some caulking and a little paint and called it good.
I've got no idea how long it will last but I'll post here first if something changes.
Here you can see the spray foam squeezing out from underneath the roof flashing.

Re: Outside sheet metal attachment?
Awesome looking bus Syke! Exactly what I want to get when the time (meaning $$$$) is right. I like the creative use of the steel framing too. The only difference between the layout of yours and the one I want to build would probably be a bunk for my kid, but everything else looks great!
Question: how is the sheet steel covering the window openings fastened to the bus? Did you use automotive panel adhesive like SikaFlex, screws, rivets, welding.....? Just trying to figure out the best way to do it when the time comes.
Oh yeah, just curious how much you paid for the bus originally? I'm trying to get an idea on what I can expect to spend on a solid, mechanically sound bus. There's a bus dealer a few hours north of me but of course they'll mark the prices way up vs. a private seller. I think he gets most of his supply from the school systems and other organizations that turn their fleet over every few years.
Any info is greatly appreciated. Once again awesome job! How did you get the wife to agree to full time living in a skoolie? I've been working on that for several years with not a bit of luck Thanks.
John
