Gulmite Screws (need help finding a removal tool)

Need some help! I bought a 1973 Crown Atomic Tour Bus. I am in the beginning stages of my conversion process, however I need some gulmite removal tools/sockets whatever I can find to get these screws out.. if someone has them I'd pay to borrow or buy them from you. Any ideas of where I can buy them would be fantastic. I'm short of taking the screws into a machine shop to see if they can make a tool...

Thank you!!

Assuming the screw heads are "open" and accessible, it may be easier to use a Dremel and cut a slot on the screw heads, then use a flat head screwdriver to remove them. You don't plan to re-use them, do you?

Good luck! The subject of Gulmite drivers is discussed every year or two on the CCJ forum, and the consensus of thought is that there are essentially no more for sale, and folk who have them aren't likely to be selling them. Sorry! You may be able to find a machine shop that can EDM one for you, but they would need a perfect Gulmite screw head to pattern from. Unless you want to preserve originality at all costs, I suggest you get the Gulmites out by brute force and with whatever ugly tools do the job, then replace them with stainless button-head or pan-head screws (maybe 10-32?).

I have two, count 'em, two, on my bus, for the coolant filler door's A.L.Hansen no.46 compartment latch, and I think I'll keep them there just to remind me of my bus's ancestry!

Thanks for the info and help! I'd rather not touch these fasteners more than once.

I made a tool. I'll test it out tonight and see if it works.

Did you ever locate the elusive gulmite tool? I am just beginning my 1962 Crown project and have discovered the need for it.

I may go with the dremmel tool idea but wondering how you handled yours

there is currently a set on Ebay for $600 seriously $600 ouch
