Search for "main breaker" or "service disconnect". Any hardware store should have a main breaker panel which is just a small box with a single breaker spot.

A disconnect panel will just be a large switch with interconnects inside. Some are fused... Some are not. That would likely have to come from an electrical supply house or online.

Well folks, it's been a while, but big steps have been made, and more by Friday!

Pics show the two inch runners now installed. 120 volt wiring is being installed this week. All this in preparation for the thermal break to be sprayed on Friday.....

After that it's ON to get moved in!!!!

I have permanently left teaching as a career. It's just a job in today's toxic environment. Wife and I now have jobs with American Land & Leisure! We're work camping beginning in April!!!! YAY!!!!

Pressure is now on to finish HF and move in before the end of January to shake down loose ends and get ready for our new lives in the Skoolie community. We'll be working summers and winters, but have time off for visiting and helping others with their builds. The car carrier will be bult out with my workshop in front and garage in back for our Honda Acty micro van.

It's exciting, yet kinda stressful right n ow not knowing what the future holds. We've been working for almost 10 years to get to this point. The epinephrine is palpable right now.... All the small details with the build are starting to pop up. Light fixtures of certain depths, diameters, switches, door sizes, cabinets, etc....

I'm working 10+ hour days on HF. Not complaining at all. It's VERY rewarding! But I'm so SORE when I get back to sleep in this apartment.....

Well everyone, enjoy the odd-ball pics, more to come....

So long as the money holds out.... LOL Today is a be sure you don't screw-it-up day and head to HF to get more work done. Already found three potential errors, looking closely for any others.

When wife is helping with work I get even more done. Prep work takes the most amount of time so far.....

Already have the industrial paint picked out. $300 for a five gallon bucket... OUCH!!! But it's worth every penny.. April is slated for paint month...

How true!

I figure another two days and HF will have SHORE POWER for the first time!!!!!

This is EXCITING!!! My best friend (Duke who helped me when I got HF in Cali) is coming back Monday to help me finish the master bedroom next week! I'M PUMPED!!! He's given me a bunch of his tools to work with on HF. That saved me at least a month in work. By Friday next week we'll have lights, a bedroom, and storage in the master bedroom done! I'll also have internet up and running on board as well. The shower, kitchen, and wife's office will come in January. February will have the stand-up freezer installation and the pantry done. April will be the paint job. Once the paint is dry we're headed to South Dakota to become residents. Once that's done, it's onto Colorado for work camping, and the rest of our living... Tight but doable schedule. If there's any finances left over we'll spray foam the trailer where my shop will be....

WHEW!!! What a timetable!!! Exciting times!

More coming tomorrow.....

BINGO!!!! This is to prevent the spray foam from coming off since it's winter and the temps. are less than ideal for spraying.

More done today as well, but I'm crashing out and getting up early tomorrow to tape plastic for the foam guy. He's delaying the spray until Tuesday so the better temps will be here and adhesion is better. Then it's on for the paneling and electrical!

Stay tuned!

I had my foam sprayed a few weeks ago with ambient temperature around 38F outside.

As expected, some foam landed in places that I didn't want it. With the amount of work it is to remove it, I'm not worried about how well the foam adhered.

I gotta say that I like the idea. But I am going to look for plastic or fiberglass mesh suspended in the cavity somehow. But awesome inspiration

That's awesome! I inspired someone!

Well, here's progress from last night's construction. Today we had to call it early due to freezing rain/sleet. We'll be back Monday to finish the taping before spray foam and have more pics....

Also, we're getting an interesting crowd watch us on a daily basis now....

Hi there I wanted to share what you might already know, when I skinned my crown the temps were low and to get the aluminum to expand prior to glueing and riveting we used multiple diesel heaters. Worried great. The bus really held in the hot air.
Enjoy.. foam is fun however a lot of work!!
