This is our simple plumbing, outdoor shower will be our full time shower. We plan to be bathing in beautiful creeks, lakes, streams, rv camps, and mostly right outside our bus. Also there will be a sink with carbon water filtration i pulled out of my old house. I also need to install a diverter valve for city water.

Progress
We framed up the cabinets above the sink.
Had my girlfriend's gramps Randy come over today to work on the electric and installed our breakers. Still need a 50 amp single pole Breaker for the 120 coming in.We also still need to wire in the generator, batteries, and shore power to the Samlex.
This bus has been a great learning experience, I knew nothing about electricity 6 months ago. I am by no means a pro yet, but through Randy's guidance and lots of internet research, we have a way greater grasp on electricity.
Also I took the old bus seat plywood and used it to build the cushions for the couch( these old bus seats have been put to good use: couch and roof rack)
We set our music equipment up the other day the bus to get feel for it. This bus will not only be our full time house but also our practice space.

Weekend Progress
Got a lot of things done over the weekend and today.
We got some free, old solid wood doors we will be using as our fold away bunks. Got them scraped, sanded, prepped and painted. Still need to lay some luon on top and mount hardware. Also in process of building the supports for the beds.
Framed up our "garage" which will double as our instrument locker. The beds will fold into the walls and our bedroom becomes a full jam/ recording space.
Also got our final storage box built. Still need to head over to my buddys house to cut up an old washing machine for the last bit of sheet metal we need. We were able to built two storage boxes and our house battery box with the sheet metal from the ceiling of the bus.
Sealed the roof with sikaflex, ready for its last coat of white.

You have been moving along. Is it starting to feel smaller with all that stuff in there?

Thanks man, things are starting to come together! From the photos I will say it looks small in there, but surprisingly it is pretty spacious. We are working with less than 200 square feet of living space, yet when we walk in the bus it feels huge.

It appears as if you have a really nice bus purchased at scrap value pricing.
Did I miss where you insulated the roof?
From the pictures it doesn't appear as if you have a Detroit Diesel 6V-92 under the hood. It looks much more like an IHC 9.0L V-8.
If it is a DD, make sure you use only Delo 100 40wt oil. It will run the best if you drive with your foot on the floor all the time. 2-cycle DD's do not like to lug and do their best work wound up tight.
If it is an IHC 9.0L, treat it very kindly. The 9.0L was a stop gap engine that was a very cost effective option to get people out of a gas engine and into a diesel without the big jump in price it would take to spe'c the DT466. It isn't big on HP or torque so it will be pretty slow. Do not lug or over speed the 9.0L as it doesn't like either. Also, do not let it get hot. If you start to overheat going up a hill either slow down or stop and let it catch it's breath. If you should end up having a problem with the 9.0L, do NOT spend any time or $$$ messing around with it. Find another bus or Ford truck/van with the 6.9L/7.3L/T444 engine for a donor and swap everything over. Everything should be an almost trouble free swap particularly if the donor is another IHC chassis bus.
I may be making an assumption but it appears as if your tribe is a mixed group of musicians. That must make tribal life rather interesting to say the least!
Good luck and happy trails to you!

That's awesome man, your fabrication skills are spot on! I am impressed with your '46. Is that a bass or hi-hat pedal?

The roof is partially insulated, we are waiting to finish the framing and electrical. Hoping to get that done this month.
Ha yeh it is the IHC, for some reason the guy I spoke to at Navistar sent me the wrong specs. Is it possible this motor could have been swapped? The vin on the bus shows it having the detroit. I have got to crawl under and get the numbers off the motor and tranny. Thanks for the info, yeh she is very slow but we just take it easy and keep on trucking. I would like to do a swamp somewhere down the road if we find a good deal on a motor. This bus was maintained really well and I trust her to take us on our initial descent, but as you know anything can happen when we hit the road full time. We will take it by my brothers shop to do a full tune up here in the next month.
Thanks for the luck, we are going to need it.
Here is what i got from navistar
Thank you for inquiring with Navistar customer service.
This age vehicle has very little information directly available except through a line set ticket.
Here’s what I can locate.

The trans is either a AT545 ALLISON 4SPD T326* or a SP AT540 ALLISON TRANS.

Anything more would need to be on a line set ticket orderable through your local International dealer – probably a charge for this.

A drummer buddy told me it was a Ludwig SpeedKing bass pedal. And probably fairly old. They came out over 70 years ago but are apparently still coveted by many drummers.
Sorry if I "ruined" a classic, but it will live on.
