Weekend Progress
We were able to get a few things done this weekend. Got our 100 year old door fixed up and stabilized in the bedroom. The doors will fold up to the wall and our bedroom transforms into a recording studio/jamspace/ chill room.
Alex finished up some insulation and got some of the ceiling put together. The reason we went with the polystyrene was a few reasons. Money was the first, we ended up getting our insulation and luon for a very low price, we got them at damaged pricing and only spent about about 400 bucks for 20 sheet of poly and 30 sheets of luon. Plus we plan on moving with the seasons. Lastly we currently live in a shed with no insulation and have survived the winter and feel like we can deal with cold and hot weather.
Also got the instrument garage stained up.
Got the kitchen counter cut and stained up. I mis measured the placement of the stove and have to do a little reframing of the counter. Measure twice cut once! I was pissed off but you live you learn.
Mollie got the final coat of white on the drivers cock pit and we are pretty darn stoked about it.
So I wanted to show everybody our living situation. We moved into my Aunts backyard. When we got here in July we weren't able to move the bus over until we got her backyard and shed into livable conditions. Her back yard and garage was filled to the brim with 20 years of sh@%. The shed was dilapidated and had termite damage. We worked for the first month rebuilding the shed and cleaning up the yard. After all that we finally got to bring our baby over and got to tearing her apart. This journey has been nothing short of surreal and we truly feel blessed to be doing it. So I threw in some pics of our "house".

At least you've got a shed. Looks like the shed could use a little insulation too.
You guys have added to this forum. Could say you add a special note.

Just relating what you're going through with your bus on this site helps other people figure out their buses. You're contributing.

Progress
Me and Renn were able to get a few things done today.
Got the remaining doors painted up. Still need to cut and install luon on top bunks, plus build stabilization frames for top bunks.
Got our cushion bases (plywood from original bus seats) trimmed, sanded, and painted up. We will be sending them off to Renn's mom, who will be making custom cushions and and fabric. We will pay her for material and labor, well worth it because we would probably butcher the fabric.
Also used the remaing original bus seat plywood we had left, on our dining seat backs.
I had to move around the framing on the counter because soomebody(me...) didn't measure twice when cutting out for the stove.
We did some other misc things that aren't worth noting.

I was able to get one of our cabinet doors made, turned out pretty great! One more to go, then find some good hardware. Anybody have a preference for locking hinges?

Photo Dump
Hey folks, can you believe its been a month since we posted last! April was really crucial for all of us and we got a ton of stuff done on the bus! Hope y'all are ready for tons of pictures.
Where to start.....
Mollie, Renn and Alex got all the storage space painted and stained up, plus some putty, painting and staining throughout the bus. They also got the carpet put up in the back room. Got the back door insulated and framed it up.
We have been able to "complete" our garage and bedroom. Minus installing the beds.
All trim has been basically free from stuff given to me or found on side of road, I did pay forty bucks for some beautiful oak, straight from saw mill. I have been using a table saw to cut everything down.
I built our bedroom door out of some 2x4s.
Me and Alex built our frames and cutouts for all of our recording equipment and amps.
Got the rear door entrance sealed.
I built the top cabinets out and and painted and stained it all. Our knobs came from world market.
Renn Built a pretty awesome safe for all of our computers from the aluminum that was on the walls of our original bus.
We got the battery box and two outer storage boxes sealed and painted.
I went on a trim frenzy one day and got a lot of trim done in the front of the bus, also built our two desks.
Also built a reroute for the heat, and installed a vent for it.
We were able to get our wood I've had sitting in the yard for a while sanded, stained and polyed and installed onto our roof rack.
Our 75 foot of 3/0 welding cable, battery fuse holders, and disconnects came in today, so Randy should be over this week to do some more electrical work.
Oh yeh almost forgot, we got the windows tinted and screens put on the back windows.
Sorry for the rushed summary of everything we've done. We do all of the work on our bus ourselves, so if anybody has questions about any aspect of any work we've done thus far, please feel free to ask. Here is a bundle of photos for everyone.
