Ha....remember, you asked!

Rustoleum in a gallon can, applied with a brush. No prep work but a quick wash. Its been a year and its holding up well....go figure.[/quote:2syjhb3p]
We have rustoleum "rolled" multiple trucks and we don't mind....lasts forever...now what color?
Your not getting off that easy...

Re: I drank the Kool-Aid

Thank you...saved to bus folder on desk top now to find the "correct" green; I need something like the green camo makup found in the old metal military camo sticks

I had a '49 Willys that I painted OD green. That should be an easy color to find.

Re: I drank the Kool-Aid

it's not od it's darker more black in it but od may have to work or a shade of brown I think black will contrast to much

Re: I drank the Kool-Aid

Get OD and in another container add a couple drops of black or brown and remember ratio. You should have seen me getting the green I got....lol. 1 gal JD green to 3 gal safety yellow.

I'm mad at someone here for mentioning generators. It caused me a lot of work today! ;) Oh, new steer tires as well.

Looks great - thanks for sharing! Please keep us in the loop as you button it up; I'm sure we are all interested to see how you construct the door. Any new progress on the interior?

Re: I drank the Kool-Aid

Piano hinge sounds like a very good idea. I'll have to make a mental note of that since I will be doing something similar at some point. I think I would use angle iron to make a frame on the sides for the door to rest against, and then come up with some way to latch it, and perhaps even lock it.

Re: I drank the Kool-Aid

I have to do the latch too. If someone wants to steal it, I'd rather they not tear it apart, so I wont lock it.
Was wondering if I should put something under the door where its exposed or not still.

Re: I drank the Kool-Aid

Love the bus! Awesome colors too! I have been lurking in these forums for awhile. I want a bus now but will wait until next year. How do you like the rear engine? I like them but for some reason I find most around me to be FE.
