Even with a muffler, those 2-strokes running at three + grand make enough engine noise to frighten the dead.

Heres an update. Been building a 60 stop in Miami Downtown for the past 6 mo. Bought this doner rig for the drive train. 6000 original miles... Will put the bus engine 7.3 and drive train back into this truck and sell it as a two wheel drive.. everything is going well. Peace

Its got an IH ra30 up front and a ra39 in the rear. Bud 10 lug rims all the way around with a divorced transfer case and lockout hubs. Everything is a direct bolt in and all available repair parts can be got through IH with the proper sn. No bastard parts. All international.

super cool!!! are those spicer hubs? i can never remember whether it was warn hubs that had the big "cup" around the hub you had to turn for the lock or spicer.. i like the ones you pictured as you can always turn them with channel locks.

so you dont even need a special tranny tailshaft? since the XFER case is separate you can use whatever tranny you want and just match the input driveshaft length.

what engine / trans is in the truck?

It has a gas engine and a at454 automatic. ( bus has at454 also)This is why the 7.3 liter from the bus is going in after it come out of the bus. The parking brake is on the transfer case instead of the tail of the tranny so I will swap the parking brake as well so the truck is correct. No sure about the hubs but its the same as on a rockwell axle. Common.... I have 2 extra pto drives for pumps and such to remove as well. I'm planning on selling my condo this fall so maybe I might want to keep this truck when finished for storing my household goods til I decide what to do about them. I can park the truck in a gated lot for 30 a month. Way cheaper than a storage unit. Needless to say Im a busy boy for the remainder of the summer. Ive been waiting on the bus while I get settled in a Broward co. park and working in Miami. Glad now that I waited until I found this other truck.

Yes. The I can put the manual tranny in the bus and hook it to the transfer case via drive shaft. The transfer case takes the place of the carrier bearing in between diveshafts to the rear end. And because of the parking brake. I dont need to build or buy one for the tx14607b tranny for the bus. Should be a cheap swap.

See what I mean about the parking brake.

Update, Hey Yall, after a few weekends of replacing some consumables and everything that was effected by sitting idle for years I am ready for a trip to PA to pick up the donor. Repaced 100% of the cooling system. Injectors, injetor lines, headlight bezels, calipers and brake lines, added a hitch and trailer brake, lights. Blinker/brake modual for the trailer lights..etc. whew. Its a project that took some time when you dont have more than 1 day a weekend.

Im currently in Miami working this week and camping out at the job site with the dogs as a pre run so I dont get stranded out of state. Running great and sleeping in a lowes parking lot, blending in with all the hurricane Irma service trucks. Great sleeping weather.

That is the coolest little bus. Looks like a Hot Wheels product. Put some Red Lines on it...

Thank you for the great complement. I get plenty of looks, some good, some bad but everyone gets their camera out whenn they see me at a red light in downtown Miami. Paint is last. Plenty more to do b4 that. My window lickers.
