Fringe Benefits...

I've been wondering how I could capitalize on my investment... Fringe benefits! "You got the tickets, I got the bus"....

How unamerican!

The bus, a girl, and I made it to the palace of auburn hills with the intention of doing some pre-game tailgating.

It's $40.00 to park the bus, which is a little steep, but not outragious. I pulled out the money, then we had a problem.....apparently nobody is allowed to enter the parking lot unless they have tickets to the game. NBA finalls tickets??? I didn't have any of those.

Despite my best efforts, there was no tailgating for me today.

Hopefully i'll have better luck this weekend at michigan international speedway for the nascar race.

THE END IS NEAR!

I'm currently working on my EBAY description for the bus. If all goes as planned, within a week she is going up for auction. I need the money so i can finish the "new" bus before burningman.

For people who spend a lot of time on ebay, i would like some advice.

What would tend to bring in more money: A starting bid of $2,000, or a reserve price of $2,000 ??

I understand the difference betwen the reserve and the starting bid, but why would a person choose one option over the other?

Starting the bid, it makes more people interested because they know they will actually have a chance to buy the bus.

I agree. When there's a reserve price, you have no idea if something is really within your reach or not.

Auction starts tomorrow:

Jun-26-05 21:00:00 PDT

10 day listing...wish me luck

My roomate convinced me to start the bidding at a higher price than i had orginially anticipated. Starting bid is set pretty high, at $5,200.

I'm nervous as a matter of fact, my palms are sweaty! This is a really big deal for me.

I'll be sad to see the bus go. It has been a significant part of my life the past 2 and a half years. I've put a lot of blood and sweat into this vehicle, but i hae had an tremendous amount of fun.

IT's not as if it's the end of the world however....since i have another bus that will one day be equal to this one on the inside, and has better running gear

That starting price may be way to high for any real bidding and interest to start up.

I know. What's up with crackheads thinking their buses are worth way more money than they actually are??

nothing to do now but wait and see what happens........

I think your bus is worth it, I'd pay that much if I had a place to store it. (You could probably pay for it pretty quick by driving bachealor parties and such)

I just think more people would see it and start bidding if it were lower.
