I'll hopefully be up there for the game as well. I wouldn't mind saying hello and checking out the bus.

Go ISU!

we'll have to see how it works out.....burningman ends the day after labor day, and i'll be coming home soon after. It looks feasible that i could stop in iowa for the game. depends how much time i can get off of work. I already took 17 days for a trip to texas last month, so i have significantly less time off for BM than i had last year.

LOL ISU! Yay! My dad taught there in the early 1970's!

The bus is awesome! Extremely cool! I bet it's a blast at a ballgame. Very creative use of the space and material.

here's a good shot of the blue lights behind the block wall
I still have not finished the interior from the jacuzzi to the back of the bus.

Looks like you have a huge party limo. I really want to know how well those mirrors hold up over a maybe a years time.

i was bored and looking through the gallery when i ran across these photo's steve took when i stopped and visited in Iowa on my way home from burningman last summer. This is possibly the worse the bus has ever looked inside. I had lived in the bus and been on the road for the past month and was on my way back home.

It's quite a difference from then until now

THEN

NOW

Neither do I, I just go for the people and the buses. I think the number of buses at the games in Iowa would astound you, its probably a lot like going to a hippie gathering. I would probably go see the buses there too if there were any nearby.

I can only name about 2 Nascar drivers and their sponsors, and I cant name any players on any other sports teams. But I do try and follow my University of Toledo Rockets - football games, which I will be tailgating at regularly with the bus.

It's all about the 3 B's - Bus, Babes, and Beer

Did you watch American Dad last night on Fox, they had a whole Burning Man theme to it.

I got in a bus accident last sunday. In very heavy traffic in Downtown Detroit during the annual electronic music festival. I was changing lanes and did not see the car in my blind spot (i no longer have the bus driver mirror sticking out from the hood...i think that mirror would have prevented the accident)

At approximately 3 mph our vehicles made contact. It made a really loud CRUNCH! Then the four letter words started, not from me, but from the other motorist. The passenger side of his car was pretty shmanked up, but the door still opened! I coulnd't find a visible scratch on my bus.

anyhow....

I don't know if he was drinking, or if he had a warrant for his arrest or whatever, but he did NOT want to make a police report, he just wanted to leave.

I felt pretty bad, but i was glad nobody was hurt.

Haha, I'm close enough to Detroit to figure he probably had a warrant out for his arrest. Glad your rig wasn't hurt!!

If it was on the drivers side good thing he didn't make it to your gas tank.

Bus accident

I am glad to hear that thier where no repercussions on your end regarding the accident . That would never have happened to me. With my luck it would have been the local police Chief in his personal car and I would have gone to jail . Smile and heave a big sigh of relief and possibly think of placing a spot mirror or two on your on your Bus.

it was on the drivers side...but my fuel tank is on the passenger side....not to mention the cage around the fuel tank is made from 2 inch square tubing. Besides...it's just diesel fuel, not much chance of fire or explosion.
