I'm kinda wishing now that i had done a reserve price instead of starting bid. I think i'd at least have a few people who would have bid on it by now.....

78 people are currently watching the bus, and over 3,600 people have viewed the add.

here's one of the last projects i did on the bus. Photo taken at the NASCAR race here in mi. The steps are covered in diamondplate alluminum.

No the problem was not going with your original value of $2000

Can you lower the starting value now? I know you can lower reserve prices.

keep in mind that most people will only bid in the final few minutes, esp if they want it.

I altered the bidding setup a few days back. Changed my starting bid to $10.00 and set the reserve at $3K.

This is the final day of the auction. Ends tonight at midnite EST (11 hours from now) So far we're up to $3,250.

I'd sure like to get at least $5K for it, but we'll see how things go. I've been talking on my phone almost non-stop to people who are interested in the bus.

$3,250 is an acceptable amount of money. It's been said lots of times one should never plan to get out of a bus the amount of money they spent converting it.

But you can get back in fun the amount of money you spent putting into it!

the top bidder had zero feedback, and i was unable to contact him. I had warnings from several friends who have been burned by the exact same scenario and was advised to cancel his bid. Ebay's lists being unable to contact a bidder as a reason to cancel their bid.

The yellow sign on the fender said

"JACUZZI INSIDE,
WANT A FREE TOUR OF THE BUS?
COME ON IN!"

It's just a laminated sign on yellow paper with black ink. I have a few identicle signs that i put on the bus in vairous locations when i'm trying to attract potential hotties.

less than an hour to go.....and she's still @ $3k. grrrrrrrrrr

I expect people to start bidding soon....(I HOPE!!)
My phone has been ringing non-stop. I've been on the phone all day talking to potential bidders about the bus. A few of them sound really serious. My biggest downfall is that fact that i have zero feedback. This is my first ebay auction. I was going to start bying thigns a few months back just to increase my feedback, but never got around to it.

I hope your winner isn't too far away from you so that it all works out.

You need to get the new owner to join this board. Tell him it's a requirement to get the keys from you. LOL

The final 10 minutes was pretty exciting. My friend and i both have cable internet and were talkingon the phone for the last few moments of the auction. I got almost 2 thousand dollars richer in about 10 minutes time! We were both clicking the refresh button almost non-stop. This is the first time i've sold anything on ebay.

the winner is in PA, about 600 miles from here. (same distance to ames iowa from here)

We've e-mailed back and forth a couple times now....still haven't received my $1,000 down payment........supposed to have that within 48 hours. Hopefully it all works out well.

5 thousand bucks is perfectly acceptable....although i wish it would have gone for a little more!

Yeah! I still remember the rush I got doin' the "refresh rapid fire" during the closing minutes on my White Elephant! I think what hair I had that didn't fall out from stress certainly turned a definite shade of grey.

Congrats on a successful sale, and don't worry, the odds are greatly in your favor that the guy will come through. I know nothing SEEMED to happen fast enough FOR ME when I won the bid on mine, but in reality it all fell nicely into place in quite short order!

The buyer has 48 hours from auction end to pay the $1,000 deposit.

There's less than 8 hours before the end of the deadline and the buyer has yet to respond to my e-mail (well, actually a total of 3 e-mails) in regards to how he wishes to make the payment.

we'll see how it goes......
