i'm at work today and forgot my card reader at home so photos will have to wait....

Got a lot done yesterday.

ground off the rivets on the cieling panel and easily removed that piece of sheet metal.

then on a whim we decided to install the jacuzzi immediately instead of setting up an appointment with crane guy. First We trimmed about 1.5 inches off of the jacuzzi with a cordless dewalt circular saw. We didn't really have the correct tools for the lifting job, but that's never stopped us before. Basically we attached a large clevis to a tree branch about 20 feet off the ground. Then we tied one end of a long piece of rope to the jacuzzi, and the other end through the clevis and back down to the truck.

looked something like this:

It took a while, but nobody got hurt, and we finally got the monster sized jacuzzi installed in the bus. The tollerances between the jacuzzi and the bus walls is almost non-existent. It's a perfect fit. !

photos to come

if anyone nearby wants a jacuzzi, i have 2 more of them on the way for free, and was offered a third for $100

i might try selling them either in the newspaper or on ebay.

I REALLY love the pictures.

You ever considered moving to Minnesota? I could use a bus nut neighbor with a knack for finding stuff on the cheap (like jacuzzis).

Necessity is the mother of all inventions.

If it works, and proper (well mostly proper) safety rules are applied, cant be all wrong.

Lots of photos, sorry to those dialup people:

Unfortunately we were angrily involved in trying to remove the roof panel with all sorts of weaponry and didn't manage to take any photos until the job was mostly completed....the excess paint thinner we tried to cut the glue with was burning on top of the roof while i was using my 500,000 btu torch, which caught some of the wooden shims on fire...the kids said it was better than the 4th of july! That would have made a good photo...sorry

Roof panel finally conquered!

Grinding rivets inside the bus:

Getting closer!

Did i mention the jacuzzi is GIANORMOUS!

This can't possibly be good!

bad lighting, but you can see the jacuzzi is hanging from the tree because of the force exerted by the truck.

She is ugly, but you can see that she touches both walls....it doesn't get any closer than that! Once we get the wall built in front of the jacuzzi she'll look a lot better. It's actually a really nice Cal-spa.

that's a lot of photos!
