The bus is looking great, are you going to take it out a few times before you sell it?
Yes, we're going to do a hand railing on the steps.

It looks like carpet, but it's just an outdoor/indoor rug. It's better than carpet because you can easily remove it which allows easy cleaning/drying when necessary.

Re: Jacuzzi Bus V

Masking sucks!

Painting sucks too!

Drywall stilts rock!

need flames and clearcoat.....but the sign shop guy that makes my vinyl signs thinks my flames look "like nails on a chalkboard" so he has generously volunteered to draw out some professional looking flames on the bus for me. I'm not sure how long that will take and when the weather will cooperate again.

here's photos from about 2 weeks ago:

it is a beautiful day today. A couple weeks ago we had about 8 inches of snow, and today it was in the 70's sunny with not a cloud in the sky.

Jason, Do you have a buyer lined up for this bus? Please call or send private message if it is not sold currently.

Re: Jacuzzi Bus V

i bought the drywall stilts a while back for a frankenstein halloween costume. I've used them a few times on buses now for painting and masking and they really rock!

Re: Jacuzzi Bus V

i walked on some drywall stilts when i was a kid and found them to be pretty easy then. They are actually quite easy to stand on and you feel very stable most of the time. They are rather complex with joints, springs, etc built in. I think i've only fallen once while working on the bus. i tripped over a branch that was laying on the ground. That extra couple of feet is a long ways to fall!

these aren't mine, but are similiar....except mine are covered in paint, dirt, and scratches and the buckles are all worn out so i replaced them with leather straps.

Re: Jacuzzi Bus V

i've been too busy to post the past few days.

We buffed the jacuzzi with an orbital buffer and some rubbing compound then wax. It shines like a diamond now!

Then i got busy masking....did i mention that i really HATE masking? For the past week I have been unable to get a hold of the guy who volunteerd to draw out flames for me. I decided that my flames always look great to me so i just did it myself.

Now she's starting to look more like a jacuzzi bus! The paint isn't finished yet. She still needs clear coat, and the vinyl graphics applied. So much for getting her done in 30 days. Today is 1 month and 7 days. She should be 100 percent finished this week.
