I have been making some progress trying to get the bus ready for Baltimore Ravens Homegame 1 on Sept 26th. Friends and family twisted my arm until I decided to start converting her into a tailgater.
Brand new Bostrom Air ride seat for me:
Winegard Roof antenna:
Leaving in 4 rows of seats (though am recovering them):
Plywood subfloor and bench seats in place. You can also see the re-upholstered seats. Its outdoor sheerweave roller shade fabric:
My question at this time: I am running 1 - 26" LCD tv and a stereo off of an inverter which will be ran off of 1 - 8D 12v Deka and 1 - group 3 12v Deka battery. For the first game, can I place these two batteries under the bench seats (no they are not sealed -- I did read the Wiki entry on the board about how they should be concealed and with ventilation to the outside). the rear of the bench seating unit is capped off obviously from the photos, but the front is not. It is still open, thus the under seating storage area is not completely sealed. Obviously, after the first game and I have more time I will do the right thing and build a battery bank box in the skirting under the bus but was wondering if I could risk it for about 5 hours with the batteries mounted inside the bus under the seating.
Thanks as always for your advice and time!
