Man! ---That's one serious mobile solar array! --- What does that set up put out on a sunny day? And you must have an equally impressive battery bank to go with it.

Thanks with the help with the photo, MightyBus.

The panels put out between 900 and 1300 watts in the sun, depending.
I have about 1700 amps of batteries.

Thank You
Yes, I have a connection with Palm Trees too. After the first frost I am drawn to them.
It's 85 in the day and 70 at night here . I've been here three weeks and I'm just beginning to stop sweating.

Jerry, the awning looks nice! I noticed the curved rail-top on one of the supports. Are those like you find on an Airstream? Been trying to figure a way to do this with mine since the Crown's have a curved sidewall.

Sweet set up! --- and with that kind of output...do you ever have to crank up the Genny? I'm guessing the solar must cover most of your needs (at least in sunny Florida).

And BTW...always loved the rounded look of the older Crowns!

The awning is a Dometic 8500. When I ordered it I had several choices for the type and color of the Hardware. This one had the least amount of curve. After it was mounted It looks a lot like I might have gotten away with the flat or stock hardware. The mounting brackets make it stand off from the side of the bus. The only reason I bought a new one was because of the curved hardware. If you could find some flat hardware you could hold up beside the bus and see, It might save you a lot of money. The new one's are the big bucks.
Good Luck
Jerry

If the sun is shining the solar system provides more power than we can use and we have electrical everything.
If the sun isn't shining They don't work. Goes perfectly with a traveling lifestyle.
We use the Generator to run the battery charger about once every 6 months or so.
Now, we are a little south of Florida on the west coast of Mexico. It hotter than @#$%&.

Re: Jerry's Crown

Hey Jerry --- outstanding arrangement. I can't tell from the pic what kind of A/C system you have, but are you running it off the solar/batteries as well?

Anything electrical equates as "Voo-Doo" to me, but I need to learn more about the new gen systems.
