Just Right Bus: 1991 Ford Thomas School Bus Conversion

Hey Everyone!

My husband and I bought our 1991 Ford Thomas School bus in March 2013. It took us about 6 months to convert it and we've been living in it full time now for about a year. At the moment we rent an RV pad in a friend's back yard in Florida but plan to travel more often once my husband finishes school. We've never been happier!

You can check out more pictures of our conversion at www.JustRightBus.com

Hey Doc!

My husband is in med school, MSIII. Right now he wants to be a family doctor or a pediatrician. We both went to UF for undergrad and I went there for grad school too. So sorry to hear of your garnet and gold ailment ;)

Go Gators!

We have 2 eye hooks mounted into the wall behind the fridge and we cinch it into place with a strap hooked ontop the eye hooks when we travel. No issues so far!

Re: Just Right Bus: 1991 Ford Thomas School Bus Conversion

You have a really nice conversion.

My only comment is take the time to repaint the bus any color except national school bus chrome yellow.

There are quite a few privately owned parks around the country that have rules that do not allow any yellow buses to park in the their campground. Some of the same ones do not allow older RV's of any kind as well.

My feeling is if the park doesn't want my business I can go on down the road. However, sometimes that can become a very difficult choice.

The same sort of discrimination is sometimes harbored by members of the local constabulary.

If you change the color it is amazing how different the reaction can be.

Good luck and happy trails!

Anyone know how to find elec diagrams 1991 bluebird bus

I'm looking for wiring diagram for the main elec panel on driverside if a rear engine 1991 blue bird bus. I was removing all heating pumps and fan switches which I do not believe that is the problem but I disconnected 3 pairs of wire on the lower bar which is attached at the base of the box. Now the bus starts and runs for a second or two then shuts down.
Anyone have diagrams for this bus or a few years before and after?
