I have these on my bus, haven't sounded them yet. (The guy asked me shortly after I got it if I'd tried the horn yet. Guess I never thought of it.) I chipped one when I hit the branch parking it, my first casualty.

Before you put them on you might want to check for "bugs" mine didn't work and they were packed with bugs at the small end.

Re: El Tortuga...update 11-13-12!

I pulled the air supply for the door piston and stuck it in the port; 135# of air .... thank god I was smart enough to put on ear plugs first it was very loud....
No bugs came out...kinda depressed after reading about all the "ejected bugs" on the internet
I now know this is not a horn to play with (much ) cause it wuld scare the crap out of someone and make them panic, thinking they were gonna be crushed

Re: El Tortuga...update 11-13-12!

Many years back I rode a 1975 BMW motorcycle just about everywhere. After a few close calls with car & truck drivers who assumed any space my bike didn't occupy in my lane was theirs to use, I installed a set of Fiamme electric air horns that sounded for all the world like an eighteen wheeler. From then on, anyone creeping too close got a blast that scared the Bejeezus out of them and they whipped back where they belonged. By the time they figured out they weren't about to be crushed...I was safely gone. A horn is a warning device. A LOUD horn is a great warning device.
